It comes as no surprise that I have a minor obsession with decorating my home. I never am completely done when it comes to my home. As soon as I finish one room, I start getting the itch to update another. Just a revolving door in my world.
I'll make a confession here and now: my ultimate blogger dream is to have my apartment featured in a big blog. There are several sites that I drool over and simply dream of seeing my space featured. Wheww, its good to get that off my chest! I'm really working on the place right now to get it "photo shoot ready." A girl can dream right?
And speaking of dreaming, here are a few spaces The Glitter Guide has featured. Each of these has me totally salivating.
Most recently featured was Lindsay Souza of The Pursuit of Style. This is hands down one of my favorite apartments ever featured. Her use of color mixed with white...oh so good! I love how she mixes all kinds of styles and textures. Modern twists next to heirloom pieces. Think Ikea and antiques...just my speed. Oh, and that Blue Willow China-swoon! And the BEST part of it all is her bed...DYING for how she mixed colors and patterns with the fabrics she chose. AH-MA-ZING!!!!
Next up is Devon Dyer's apartment tour. Again, a ton of bold color up in this joint. Yall know I love that! Her bar cart is just about the best I've ever seen. In fact, I actually saw that in Homegoods and really kick myself for not bringing it home with me earlier this year. I did, however, snag that awesome floral pillow and was so excited to see it make it to a published home...I guess that makes me pretty cool!
Next up is the feminine apartment with some seriously gorgeous details from the uber stylish Kat Tanita. That brick wall just makes me wish I lived in an old building that has been re-purposed for a living space. Don't get me wrong, I do love the practicality and efficiency of a new building, but there's just something to be said about the character of old places. You can't build that these days.
Next up, the preppy classic apartment that Mackenzie Horan created. I love her commitment to navy and white with little pops of pink here and there. The girl really proved that a small space doesn't have to feel small.
And last, but certainly not least, the incredible office of Katie Anderson from Modern Eve. All that lucite, yep really want/need/have to have that. And I gotta give it to the girl, she has taken organization to a whole new level. See that closet full of craft supplies and dishes to entertain with? I dream of a closet just like that.
I hope you enjoyed these as much as I did. Fingers crossed, I'll have a tour of this little ole abode in a few weeks. Nothing as big and amazing as these featured on The Glitter Guide, but I love it. I'm so excited to share actually decent pictures with you since I've only shared iPhone photos. I know-I'm the worst.
I love Glitter Guide's home tours too! My favs were Devon Dyer's and Kat Tanita's. Keep working on your apartment, it could definitely happen for you! It's so fun to see these inspiring spaces.
